Vijay Kondke
Vijay Kondke was the brother of Dada Kondke. He was born as Datta Kondke in December 1, 1924 in Mulshi, Maharashtra, India. He started his acting career in 1952 with the film Meghdut. This film, directed by Bhalchandra Pendharkar, has Dada Kondke as Raju, who is the hero's friend. He also acted in the popular Marathi film Bhool Bhulaiya (1960), a romantic comedy, directed by Bhalchandra Pendharkar. After this, he became a lead actor. Later he acted in other notable Marathi films such as Mardat Manjare (1966) and Kadam Kadam (1967), where he did comedy.
He worked with other popular actors such as Vinod Chavan, Asha Parekh, Jaya Prada, and Usha Chavan in different Marathi movies. He worked in many Marathi films as a leading actor, most notably with his co-actor Madhu Kambikar. He acted in the movie Sakte Veer (1991), which went on to become a silver jubilee hit. He also acted in the hit film Naqaab (1995), directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee, in which he played the antagonist, which was a role he would do again in multiple Marathi films.
He also worked with several other popular actors such as Ramji Gadh, who directed him in the film Ganwata (1999). He worked with Adah Sharma and Akshay Kumar in the film Vijau Ka Vaada (1996), which went on to become a silver jubilee hit. He also acted in the popular Marathi comedy film I Love You (2001), directed by Prashant Marde. This film marked the debut of actor Akshay Kumar.
